“Everything is better with sunshine and a little pink.” —Lilly Pulitzer
I am a Canadian impressionist painter, inspired by sunshine, motherhood and femininity. My works are an expression joy and gratitude for the life I get to live. My process looks a lot like playing; I dance, I imagine of the world around me in tropical colours and I spread my acrylics like I’m icing a cake (my favourite food). My home studio allows me to interact with my teenagers, soaking up the energy they bring to every part of life. I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and girly girl and I use all of these identities to create work that shares beautiful meditative moments in time — snapshots of life, mixed with sunshine and a dash of pink. Welcome to my world!

“Dana’s painting is installed in a spot I pass everyday. It brings me happiness each time I see it. She captured my spirit and the nuances I requested. Many thanks Dana for bringing your talent into my space which inspires me to enjoy beautiful things.”

I love living in Canada but sometimes the constant grey of winter brings me down. On dreary days, I paint familiar scenes with a pretty, feminine palette and lots of pink to cheer me up.
